Desirable

Experience with sensor integration and real-time processing is a plus. Familiarity with autonomous vehicle systems or robotics frameworks will set you apart. You are also comfortable working with various development tools and methodologies, and you have a keen interest in continuous learning and professional growth.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Devices Platform team, you will design and develop the onboard software for Nuro's sensor and compute platform. This includes creating device drivers, inter-device protocols, and runtime APIs that enable seamless communication between hardware components. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to define and integrate the next generation of hardware platforms for Nuro's products. Your role will involve architecting systems that ensure high reliability and performance, contributing to the overall success of Nuro's autonomous technology initiatives.

You will also be responsible for building tooling to assist with continuous testing and validation of the software and hardware systems. This includes developing automated testing frameworks and ensuring that the software meets rigorous quality standards. You will participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.
