What you'll do

As a Staff Detection & Response Engineer at Okta, you will lead complex threat hunts and manage major security incidents, ensuring that our infrastructure and customers are protected. You will architect detection frameworks that enhance our defense-in-depth strategies, driving innovation within the Security Operations organization. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to align security objectives with broader business trends and strategic goals.

You will be responsible for developing and refining threat detection methodologies, leveraging your expertise to identify potential vulnerabilities and respond to incidents effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the team through high-stakes situations, ensuring that incidents are managed efficiently and lessons learned are integrated into future strategies.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will serve as a mentor to junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
