Desirable
Experience with cloud-native software testing and familiarity with various automation tools is a plus — you understand the nuances of testing in cloud environments and can navigate the challenges that come with it. What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer in Test at Okta, you will take ownership of the quality and resilience of our SaaS platform — your primary focus will be on automating testing processes for cloud infrastructure, ensuring that our services maintain a 99.99% uptime. You will collaborate with Technical Operations and Engineering Leadership to design and implement testing strategies that align with our agile development processes.
You will develop bespoke solutions to reduce toil for our SREs, allowing them to focus on more strategic initiatives — your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering teams. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise in automation and testing practices to help them grow in their roles.
Your role will involve continuous improvement of our testing frameworks and methodologies — you will analyze existing processes, identify areas for enhancement, and implement changes that lead to better quality outcomes. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall engineering culture at Okta, promoting best practices in testing and automation.
