Job Description
-
Lead day-to-day business operations of the MiCA-licensed entity, aligning with the long-term vision of OKX in Europe.

Drive operational excellence by implementing scalable processes, enhancing internal systems, and delivering strategic initiatives.

Track and report on key operational KPIs, including customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and risk management.

Support the CEO of Europe and partner with global and regional leadership teams on strategic planning and execution

Embed MiCA regulatory standards into operational workflows and act as the 1st line of defense.

Maintain and manage risk registers, conduct incident reviews, and ensure proper documentation.

Oversee internal governance processes to ensure transparency and accountability.

Work closely with legal and compliance teams to prepare for regulatory audits and maintain open communication with regulators.

Oversee third-party vendors and partners, ensuring performance, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.

Lead vendor selection, due diligence, and service level agreement (SLA) monitoring in collaboration with legal and compliance teams.

Establish and monitor KPIs to drive operational accountability and continuous improvement.

Lead reporting efforts on operational and risk performance for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and implement product localization efforts in line with EEA market requirements.

Ensure operational readiness for new product launches and regulatory reviews.

Partner closely with product, engineering, compliance, legal, marketing, and customer operations teams.

Foster a culture of collaboration and transparency across global teams to support OKX’s growth in the region.

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.

5-10 years of experience in operational leadership roles within regulated financial services or fintech environments

Direct experience acting as the 1st line of defense in a licensed financial institution.

Proven ability to manage risk, lead cross-functional teams, and build scalable operational processes.

Strong leadership, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Fluent in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments; entrepreneurial mindset.

Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a detail-oriented and solutions-focused mindset.

Experience in a licensed crypto, fintech, or financial institution operating under MiCA or MiFID II.
-
Prior leadership experience in vendor or outsourcing governance.

Strong understanding of blockchain, DeFi, and the crypto ecosystem.

Demonstrated success in driving regulatory compliance and operational transformation.
