Overview

OneOncology is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for their Eastern Connecticut Hematology & Oncology practice in Norwich, CT. You'll deliver comprehensive cancer care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role requires 1-2+ years of NP experience, preferably in Hematology/Oncology.

Who you are

You are a dedicated Nurse Practitioner with 1-2+ years of experience, ideally in Hematology/Oncology, and you are committed to providing exceptional patient care. You possess the confidence to work independently when appropriate and are eager to cross-train in a diverse, team-oriented oncology practice. Your clinical skills are strong, and you are motivated to ensure continuity of care and positive clinical outcomes for your patients.

You thrive in a supportive clinical setting and are passionate about delivering comprehensive cancer care. Your experience as an NP or RN in Hematology/Oncology has equipped you with the necessary skills to perform in-office procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. You understand the importance of fostering communication and collaboration within a healthcare team to enhance patient experiences and outcomes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for seeing patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring that they receive the highest quality of care throughout their treatment journey. You will perform in-office procedures, including bone marrow biopsies, and collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive cancer care. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining accurate patient records, developing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and their families about their conditions and treatment options.

You will work full-time, Monday through Friday, with a 4-day work week consisting of 10-hour shifts, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Your role will involve engaging with patients to understand their needs and concerns, ensuring that they feel supported and informed throughout their treatment process. You will also participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute to the overall success of the oncology practice.
