You have extensive experience in financial reporting, ideally with a focus on GAAP compliance and external reporting. Your strong technical judgment allows you to navigate complex financial environments, and you possess a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset that drives you to own key reporting deliverables. You thrive in high-growth settings and are adept at converting ambiguity into clear, audit-ready outputs. Your collaborative nature enables you to work closely with teams across Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and Investor Relations, enhancing reporting processes and data flows.

You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of maintaining internal consistency checks and tie-outs in financial statements. Your ability to drive audit readiness and execution is complemented by your experience partnering with external auditors. You are committed to delivering accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders, ensuring the organization’s financial integrity and scalability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the end-to-end process of preparing GAAP financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules. You will maintain rollforwards and ensure that all outputs are complete and ready for audits. Your responsibilities will include driving the execution of audit readiness, collaborating with external auditors, and improving the overall quality of financial disclosures. You will also focus on building robust and scalable reporting systems that support the rapid growth of OpenAI.

You will work closely with various teams to streamline data flows and enhance how financial information is communicated across stakeholders. Your role will involve identifying areas for improvement in reporting processes and implementing solutions that elevate the quality of financial reporting. You will be instrumental in ensuring that the financial reporting engine operates efficiently and effectively, contributing to the organization's mission.
