What you'll do

In this role, you will define and manage vendor and partner engagements for OpenAI's hardware design team. You will lead the development of sourcing strategies for hardware and related services, including cloud solutions, that align with OpenAI's overarching goals. Your responsibilities will include managing key supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with job posting standards. You will work closely with the Head of Partnerships & Strategic Sourcing to negotiate agreements that enhance the capabilities of OpenAI's infrastructure.

You will also be responsible for conducting supplier evaluations and leading RFP processes, ensuring that all engagements are structured and meet the necessary criteria. Your work will directly impact the hardware design team's ability to expand compute, networking, and storage capabilities, ultimately contributing to the development of advanced AI systems. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology at OpenAI.
