What you'll do

As a Software Engineer on the Encryption team, you will design, build, and scale novel privacy features and infrastructure for ChatGPT and future consumer devices. Your responsibilities will include shipping product features for authentication, encryption, and storage, while balancing complex trade-offs in challenging domains. You will build core abstractions for encrypted storage, sync, and recovery, particularly in conjunction with inference in trusted execution environments. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will integrate private inference and computing infrastructure, ensuring that user data remains secure and private. You will also maintain infrastructure for hardware security modules (HSMs) and participate in an on-call rotation to support system reliability.
