Your background includes designing end-to-end encryption protocols, and you are passionate about building secure systems that protect user data. You possess deep knowledge of encryption technologies, including client-side encryption and hardware security modules (HSMs). Your experience extends to designing modern crypto, storage, and authentication protocols, ensuring that the systems you build are both robust and user-friendly. You are adept at balancing trade-offs in complex domains, making informed decisions that prioritize user privacy.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and scale novel privacy features and infrastructure across ChatGPT and future consumer devices. You will ship fast while managing complex trade-offs, focusing on core abstractions for encrypted storage, sync, and recovery. Your responsibilities will include building product features for authentication, encryption, and storage, as well as maintaining infrastructure for hardware security modules (HSMs).

You will integrate with private inference and computing infrastructure, ensuring high reliability while operating systems at scale. As part of a diverse team, you will collaborate with cross-functional partners across product, engineering, security, safety, policy, and legal to deliver world-class security features. Your role will also involve participating in an on-call rotation to support system reliability and performance.
