Opendoor is hiring a Director, Brand Design to bridge product and marketing by crafting scalable design systems and leading integrated campaigns. You'll work closely with Product Design and Creative teams in Miami.

Who you are
You have a strong background in design leadership, with experience in creating scalable design systems that enhance both product and marketing efforts. Your ability to translate brand strategy into visually compelling designs is unmatched, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can mentor and guide your team. You understand the importance of emotional consistency in branding and are passionate about creating experiences that resonate with users.
You possess a deep understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and accessibility, and you are proficient in tools like Figma and Adobe XD. Your experience includes leading design refreshes and establishing governance for design systems, ensuring that all teams can move quickly while maintaining high-quality standards. You are a hybrid thinker who can seamlessly integrate brand personality into product experiences, making every interaction feel unmistakably aligned with the brand.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end refresh of Opendoor's design system, establishing clear guidelines and templates that empower internal teams and external partners. You will partner closely with Product Design and Growth PMs to infuse brand personality into in-product moments, ensuring visual and emotional consistency throughout the customer journey. Your responsibilities will include designing and optimizing growth surfaces such as websites, landing pages, and onboarding flows, as well as delivering integrated marketing campaigns that effectively communicate the brand's message.
You will champion a customer-centric approach, ensuring that every touchpoint from first impression to closed deal reflects the brand's values and aesthetics. As a player-coach, you will set the vision for the design team, build systems and standards, and mentor your team members to help them grow in their roles. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the brand's growth strategy and enhancing the overall user experience.
