Who you are
You are a seasoned Staff Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in designing and developing cloud infrastructure. You thrive in environments where you can lead the evolution of infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, secure, and scalable. Your deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes allows you to optimize cloud operations effectively, and you are passionate about infrastructure as code and automation.
You have a strong background in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product engineering, developer experience, and security teams. Your ability to drive infrastructure best practices in a modern, services-based architecture sets you apart. You understand the importance of observability and performance monitoring, and you are well-versed in tools that enhance these aspects.
Desirable
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies is a plus. Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and service orchestration will help you excel in this role. You are committed to mentoring other engineers and championing a DevOps culture across the organization.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure in AWS using best practices. You will lead efforts in Kubernetes (EKS) architecture, cluster management, and deployment strategies. Collaborating with application and platform engineering teams, you will optimize microservices deployment and CI/CD workflows.
You will define and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK, driving observability and performance monitoring strategies with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or CloudWatch. Conducting architecture reviews, performance tuning, and capacity planning will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring that the infrastructure aligns with product goals.
You will stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, continuously improving the infrastructure and mentoring your peers. Your contributions will be crucial in scaling the platform and enhancing the overall cloud operations.
