You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment and have strong communication skills that help you effectively engage with distributed teams.

Your experience includes working with backend technologies such as Node.js and GraphQL, enabling you to design and implement scalable applications. You understand the importance of performance optimization and are skilled at writing clean, maintainable code. You thrive in agile settings and are adept at leading projects from conception through to deployment.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms and familiarity with ERP solutions would be a plus, as would any background in working with government agencies or public sector projects. You are always eager to learn new technologies and methodologies to improve your craft.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at OpenGov, you will play a pivotal role in developing and enhancing our Public Service Platform. You will lead the design and implementation of new features that improve efficiency and transparency for local and state governments. Collaborating closely with product managers and designers, you will ensure that our solutions meet the needs of our users.

You will be responsible for optimizing existing applications for performance and scalability, ensuring that they can handle the demands of our growing user base. Your role will also involve mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall architecture of our systems, ensuring that best practices are followed. Your insights will help shape the future direction of our technology stack and product offerings.
