You are an aspiring Electrical Engineer with a foundational understanding of electrical design principles and a keen interest in hardware development. You have experience or coursework in PCB layout verification and schematic review, and you are eager to apply your knowledge in a real-world setting. You are comfortable working hands-on in a hardware test lab and are excited about the opportunity to troubleshoot and validate prototypes and production units. You possess strong analytical skills and are detail-oriented, ensuring that all engineering documents, test reports, and wiring diagrams are accurate and up to date. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure that hardware meets security and performance standards. What you'll do
In this role, you will assist with electrical design tasks, including schematic review and PCB layout verification, contributing to the development of secure hardware systems used in OPSWATβs cybersecurity product lines. You will perform hardware testing, validation, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production units, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will support firmware and hardware integration efforts, collaborating closely with senior engineers to ensure seamless functionality. Your responsibilities will also include creating and updating engineering documents, test reports, wiring diagrams, and BOMs, which are critical for maintaining accurate project records. You will work hands-on in OPSWATβs hardware test lab and manufacturing environment, helping to evaluate components, suppliers, and hardware assemblies for reliability and quality. Additionally, you will participate in root-cause analysis and corrective-action processes for hardware issues, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products. You will collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and supply-chain teams to ensure that all hardware meets security and performance standards, playing a vital role in the success of our cybersecurity solutions.
