Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in designing and developing wearable products or similar consumer electronics. Your hands-on experience with low-level electrical engineering skills allows you to navigate complex system designs from concept to production. You are familiar with the challenges of creating compact, efficient battery-powered systems that incorporate RF connectivity and industrial design constraints. Your knowledge of IoT devices, custom silicon, or ML accelerators is a valuable asset in this role.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with software and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. Your ability to manage partners and drive projects forward is complemented by your technical expertise, making you a key player in the development process. You are detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality products that meet user needs and expectations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and drive the development of the electrical architecture for one or more hardware systems, including components like MCUs, SOCs, FPGAs, batteries, and sensors. You will contribute to the design, prototyping, and development phases, ensuring that all systems meet performance and efficiency standards. Your responsibilities will include defining hardware processes and tool flows, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing the entire lifecycle of the electrical systems you develop.
You will engage in hands-on prototyping and testing, iterating on designs based on feedback and performance metrics. Your work will directly impact the user experience of Sesame's voice companions, making your contributions crucial to the company's mission of creating lifelike computers. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and share your expertise with the team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
