Who you are
You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in developing operating systems and software stacks for hardware systems. Your experience includes working with low-level hardware integration and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal system performance. You are proficient in Python and Linux, and you have familiarity with a diverse tech stack that includes C, C++, TCL, VHDL, and embedded systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to infrastructure automation and embedded development.
Desirable
Experience with STM processors and managing hardware systems in a live production environment is a plus. Familiarity with automation tools and a passion for hardware-software integration will set you apart.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at Optiver, you will design and maintain the OS and software stack that powers our trading hardware. You will build and support Python-based interface layers to control and monitor hardware systems, ensuring seamless integration with our trading infrastructure. Your role will involve developing software for STM processors embedded on prototype boards and managing a fleet of hardware systems in a live production environment. You will collaborate closely with hardware, infrastructure, and trading teams to optimize system performance and contribute to infrastructure automation initiatives.
