Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in hardware engineering, particularly in board design and system-on-chip (SoC) development. Your experience includes developing specifications based on requirements from cross-functional teams, ensuring that every detail is meticulously crafted. You are proficient in schematic capture, circuit design, and defining layout and routing constraints, which are critical for high-speed board designs. You have hands-on experience with FPGA and CPLD development, and you thrive in environments where you can debug complicated system-level problems. Your analytical skills allow you to perform power and signal integrity analysis effectively, ensuring that designs meet performance standards.
Desirable
Experience with high-speed interface design and characterization is a plus, as is familiarity with debugging a wide range of issues on test boards and production systems. You are comfortable using programming languages such as Perl, Tcl, and Python to automate tasks and enhance your design processes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and building technology that fuels Appleβs devices. You will collaborate closely with designers from various groups within Apple, contributing significantly to the silicon engineering effort. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing test and characterization circuits in the lab, ensuring that Apple products can seamlessly handle complex tasks. You will engage in board bring-up, testing, and characterization, playing a critical role in the validation of hardware systems. Your work will directly impact the performance and efficiency of next-generation Apple products, making you an integral part of the Silicon Validation Hardware team.
