What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Oscar, you will lead the planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects across multiple teams. You will be responsible for owning medium to large features or infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards. Your role will involve collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create applications that simplify interactions with the healthcare system.

You will serve as the subject matter expert on both business and technical domains, providing insights that drive decision-making and project direction. Your expertise will help shape the technical strategy of the engineering organization, and you will play a key role in fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and help establish best practices within the team.
