You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, particularly in data platforms, where you've successfully led teams of engineers through various stages of their careers. You possess a deep understanding of data engineering principles and have experience architecting scalable, reliable data systems that meet business needs. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Sales Ops, and Finance, to deliver impactful data solutions that drive business results. Staying current with industry trends and technologies in data engineering is important to you, as you strive to implement best practices within your team.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with analytics tools and frameworks. You understand the importance of establishing sustainable processes that balance strategic platform work with business support needs. Your ability to drive a data-driven culture across teams will be key to your success in this role.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for the Data Platform team at Pantheon, you will own the technical strategy and operations of the complete data platform. You will lead a team of 5+ engineers, guiding them through 1:1s, performance reviews, and career growth planning. Your role will involve architecting scalable data systems while maintaining service level objectives for business-critical pipelines. You will partner closely with the VP of Engineering to define what a mature data organization looks like at Pantheon. Establishing sustainable processes that balance strategic platform work with business support needs will be a key focus. You will drive self-service tooling initiatives and foster a data-driven culture across Pantheonβs teams. Your leadership will ensure that the team stays up-to-date with industry trends and technologies in data engineering, enabling them to deliver high-impact solutions.
What we offer
Pantheon offers a competitive salary range of CAD 150,400 - 188,000 per year for this position, reflecting the importance of the role and the expertise required.
