Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in DevOps practices with at least 5 years of experience leading teams and managing application performance. Your expertise in automation frameworks and application security ensures that you can effectively collaborate with engineering teams to maintain compliance and improve processes. You are passionate about creating stable environments for applications and have a proven track record of implementing automation for software builds and deployments.
You thrive in a hybrid work environment and are comfortable working remotely while also engaging with onsite teams. Your communication skills allow you to act as a liaison between various departments, ensuring that everyone is aligned on DevOps strategies and objectives. You understand the importance of financial inclusion and are motivated by the mission of Pathward to empower individuals through innovative financial solutions.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. You may also have experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, which will help you in optimizing costs and improving the quality of deployments. A background in financial services or a similar industry can provide valuable insights into the unique challenges faced in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the DevOps team in defining and executing strategies that enhance application performance and security. You will oversee all DevOps processes, including system migration efforts, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the organization. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
You will collaborate closely with the Director of DevOps to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions that drive efficiency. Your responsibilities will include managing the automation of software builds and deployments, which will help reduce costs and improve the overall quality of the applications.
As a key member of the team, you will also be responsible for mentoring junior team members and providing guidance on best practices in DevOps. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all applications are compliant with security policies and that performance metrics are met. Your role will involve regular communication with stakeholders to report on progress and address any challenges that arise.
