Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field, and bring over 3 years of hands-on industry experience in transportation or logistics. Your expertise includes freight invoice auditing, shipment management, and outbound operations, particularly with large carriers like Amazon. You have a proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to process improvement initiatives, showcasing your ability to drive operational efficiency and service quality.
You are skilled in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and have a strong analytical mindset, allowing you to collect, analyze, and interpret transportation data effectively. Your ability to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost savings or service enhancements sets you apart. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments using internal Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and external carrier systems. You will ensure timely communication and execution for both pickup and delivery, monitoring inbound delivery appointment schedules via a cloud-based application. Responding to escalations from shippers and carriers regarding delivery appointment timing and availability will be a key part of your responsibilities.
You will collect and analyze transportation data to present insights and recommendations to your team and leadership. Your proactive approach will help identify and implement process improvement initiatives, driving greater operational efficiency and scalability in transportation functions. You will collaborate with various teams to enhance service quality and ensure that transportation operations align with business objectives.
