Who you are

You have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience as a developer, particularly in backend engineering. Your expertise includes working with tools and build processes such as pip, make, and Jenkins in Linux environments. You are self-motivated and have a track record of going above and beyond in your work, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

You possess a deep understanding of backend services and database systems, allowing you to design, code, implement, and document improvements to a high standard. Your experience includes building and maintaining backend services that integrate seamlessly with operational tooling, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

You are comfortable performing root cause analysis of customer-impacting defects, providing optimal solutions, and developing test cases for continuous integration deployment. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you participate in code and design reviews, sharing your knowledge and insights with your peers.

You are passionate about contributing to a fast-moving and high-performing development environment, and you enjoy sharing your expertise by attending and speaking at conferences, as well as writing blog posts about your work. You thrive in a remote work setting, utilizing online tools and resources to stay connected with your team and contribute effectively.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and implement backend services that enhance database management solutions. You will work closely with the Global Advanced Services team, collaborating with services teams to ensure that new features meet customer needs and expectations. Your responsibilities will include creating and submitting patches for review, performing periodic source code merges, and diagnosing and fixing defects that impact customers.

You will also be responsible for developing comprehensive documentation about your work, ensuring that it is consumable and can be refined by the documentation team. Your role will involve sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, contributing to a culture of learning and growth within the organization.
