Who you are

You have 3+ years of backend development experience, with a strong foundation in programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, C#, or C++. You advocate for test-driven development and automation, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Your experience includes working with databases like MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Redis, and you are comfortable using Linux as a programmer. You possess fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, and thrive in a collaborative, fully remote team environment.

What you'll do

As a Backend Software Engineer II at Percona, you will contribute to the development of the Percona Monitoring and Management (PMM) product, focusing on backend features and APIs using Go. You will develop scalable, high-volume applications that prioritize simplicity and user satisfaction. Your role involves producing high-quality software that is unit tested and regularly integrated into the codebase. You will collaborate with designers, architects, and product managers to refine functionalities and participate in code and design reviews, fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing among engineers. Additionally, you will identify and promote engineering best practices and seek opportunities to enhance engineering productivity.
