Job Description
Who you are
You have 5 to 7 years of backend engineering experience, building robust and scalable systems that handle high transaction volumes. You are proficient in Java and Spring, and you understand the intricacies of developing APIs that serve millions of users. You thrive in environments where you can take ownership of your work and are excited about solving complex problems in a fast-paced setting.
Your experience includes working with REST APIs, and you have a strong grasp of database management and optimization techniques. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver customer-centric solutions. You are a proactive communicator, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
What you'll do
As a Backend Engineer at PhonePe, you will be responsible for designing and implementing backend services that power our digital payments platform. You will work closely with other engineers to build scalable solutions that can handle millions of transactions daily. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards across the team.
You will also be involved in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues that arise in production, ensuring that our systems remain reliable and performant.
