What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Observability team, you will be responsible for designing and building the infrastructure and tools that provide visibility into Pinterest's large-scale distributed systems. You will define and execute the observability roadmap, treating it as a product, and ensure that the solutions you create meet the needs of thousands of engineers. You will architect, build, and scale distributed observability infrastructure, including metrics, logs, and traces, to help teams understand, debug, and optimize their services.
You will build high-performance data pipelines and storage solutions for real-time and historical telemetry analysis, enabling teams to gain insights into system performance and user behavior. Your role will involve collaborating with various engineering teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth of the team.
