Data Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have 3-5 years of experience in data warehouse development, including big data development and data warehouse modeling. Your strong understanding of data warehouse architecture and principles allows you to design effective solutions that meet business needs. You are proficient in at least two programming languages, such as SQL, Python, Scala, Java, or Go, which enables you to tackle various technical challenges. Your familiarity with big data platforms like Hive, Spark, Airflow, and Kafka, as well as relational databases, positions you as a valuable asset to the team. You also have experience with AWS data tools, including Snowflake and data pipeline technologies, which enhances your ability to deliver robust data solutions.

You possess strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset, allowing you to collaborate effectively with business teams and data analysts. Your curiosity and openness to new technologies drive your continuous learning and improvement in the field. You understand the importance of data security and compliance, ensuring that all solutions adhere to best practices and regulations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and develop data warehouse systems, focusing on data modeling, ETL process development, and data quality assurance. You will collaborate closely with business teams and data analysts to understand their needs and deliver tailored warehouse solutions. Your responsibilities will include continuously optimizing data processing performance to improve platform stability and efficiency. You will also research emerging technologies to drive the next-generation upgrade of the data platform, ensuring that Plaud remains at the forefront of data engineering practices.

You will be expected to contribute to the overall strategy of the data team, providing insights and recommendations based on your expertise. Your role will involve mentoring junior team members and sharing your knowledge to foster a collaborative learning environment. You will participate in cross-functional projects, working alongside other technical teams to integrate data solutions into broader business initiatives.
