Who you are
You are an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with a strong background in software development and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in backend engineering, you have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. You possess deep technical expertise and are comfortable leading projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.
Your experience includes working with OpenAPI and developing scalable backend systems that support various applications. You have a solid understanding of system architecture and are skilled in optimizing performance and ensuring reliability. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the evolution of Plusgrade's OpenAPI platform, working closely with product managers and other engineers to define the technical strategy and execution plan. You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features that enhance the platform's capabilities and improve the overall user experience. Your role will involve conducting code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed, and maintaining high standards of code quality.
You will collaborate with various teams, including product, design, and operations, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial as you work to align technical solutions with business goals. You will also play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise in production, ensuring that the platform remains reliable and performant.
