You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building and maintaining data pipelines that handle large and complex datasets. You are proficient in Python and SQL, enabling you to manipulate and analyze data effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with researchers and data scientists to deliver insights that drive business decisions.
You possess a deep understanding of data architecture and engineering principles, which helps you design robust systems that ensure data quality and compliance. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to tackle challenges in data ingestion, transformation, and delivery. You are also familiar with distributed computing techniques, which are essential for optimizing data processing workflows.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Engineer on the Proprietary Research team, you will design and build solutions that empower investment professionals to extract valuable insights from data. You will develop and support big data processing pipelines, focusing on ingestion, transformation, and delivery to end customers. Your role will involve collaborating with investment professionals and researchers to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
You will help set the technical direction for the team, ensuring that best practices are followed in data engineering. This includes building cloud-based infrastructure that supports the work of other data engineers and data scientists. You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of data pipelines, ensuring they run efficiently and reliably.
