Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on machine learning and AI technologies — your experience includes working with large-scale distributed systems and you are comfortable with the complexities of training and inference for Large Language Models (LLMs). You are proficient in Python and have hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, enabling you to contribute effectively to the development of cutting-edge AI solutions. You thrive in a remote-first environment and are adept at collaborating with diverse teams across different time zones, ensuring that communication and project alignment are seamless.
You possess a solid understanding of Kubernetes and its role in deploying machine learning models at scale — you have utilized container orchestration to manage resources efficiently and ensure high availability of services. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by a keen attention to detail, allowing you to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. You are passionate about the potential of AI to transform industries and are eager to be part of a team that is at the forefront of this technological revolution.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be a key member of the pre-training team, focusing on the development and optimization of distributed training processes for LLMs. You will collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to design and implement robust systems that facilitate efficient model training and inference. Your responsibilities will include writing high-quality code, conducting experiments to evaluate model performance, and iterating on solutions based on feedback and results. You will also contribute to the architecture of the systems that support large-scale AI applications, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable.
You will participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, share insights, and align on project goals — your input will be valued as you help shape the direction of the engineering efforts. Additionally, you will have opportunities to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their growth within the team. As part of a company that prioritizes innovation, you will be encouraged to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the capabilities of the systems you work on.
What we offer
We provide a fully remote work environment with flexible hours, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. Our team enjoys 37 days of vacation and holidays each year, along with a health insurance allowance for you and your dependents. We equip you with the necessary tools and resources to succeed, including company-provided equipment and allowances for home office setup. Our culture is centered around wellbeing, continuous learning, and inclusivity, ensuring that every team member feels valued and supported. You will also have the chance to participate in frequent team gatherings, fostering a strong sense of community despite the remote nature of our work.
