Who you are
You have a solid foundation in computer science and possess excellent problem-solving skills related to software performance parameters. With a strong background in performance engineering, you understand how to evaluate and enhance the performance of complex software systems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with developers, quality assurance, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure optimal product performance.
You have experience with advanced cryptographic methods, including tokenization and format-preserving encryption, and are familiar with cloud-native and hybrid environments. Your knowledge of AI and quantum-resistant cryptography positions you as a leader in the field, ready to tackle the challenges of data protection in a rapidly evolving landscape.
What you'll do
As a Principal Software Engineer in Performance Engineering, you will be responsible for developing performance evaluation scopes and tests for Protegrity products. You will lead efforts to understand product performance evaluations and collaborate with various teams to troubleshoot and enhance performance metrics. Your role will involve designing and implementing performance tests, analyzing results, and providing actionable insights to improve product efficiency.
You will work closely with the Manager/Director of Product Performance to align performance goals with product development. Your expertise will guide the team in identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance user experience and product reliability. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
