Who you are
You have a strong background in site reliability engineering, with a focus on operational excellence and reliability for production systems. You thrive in environments where you can tackle difficult problems and enjoy collaborating with a high-performing team built on mutual respect. Your experience includes designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes that scale as the company grows.
You are comfortable with a balance of operational tasks and coding, believing that SRE work should involve a maximum of 50% operational toil. You have a passion for building infrastructure tooling and automating operational burdens, ensuring that the platform can handle the demands of a regulated financial product. Your coding skills are strong, and you enjoy writing code that improves reliability and developer productivity.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the reliability and operational excellence of Pylon's production systems. You will design and implement monitoring and alerting systems, as well as incident response processes that can scale with the company. You will build tooling that enhances the effectiveness of the engineering team and establish on-call rotations and runbooks to ensure smooth operations.
You will work closely with other engineers to automate operational tasks and make reliability improvements to core services. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering team, allowing them to focus on building innovative solutions in the mortgage space. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the platform meets the high standards required for a regulated financial product.
