Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, specifically with PostgreSQL, and have a strong understanding of database design and optimization. You are skilled in monitoring database performance and have a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues. Your experience includes working collaboratively with development teams to implement best practices in database management and schema design.
You are familiar with various monitoring tools and can conduct performance baselines to ensure high availability. You have a knack for identifying performance anomalies and are quick to respond to high-priority issues. Your communication skills allow you to effectively support developers and provide guidance on schema refactoring efforts.
What you'll do
In this role, you will ensure the health, uptime, and performance of QGenda's databases. You will utilize robust monitoring tools to maintain high availability and conduct regular audits for schema improvements. You will troubleshoot performance anomalies and respond to urgent issues as they arise. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Development and Site Reliability Teams to build new features and provide support for best practices in database design.
You will participate in development operations, ensuring that database management aligns with overall software development processes. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of QGenda's healthcare workforce management solutions.
