Job Description
Who you are
You are a recent graduate or student in computer science, mathematics, or a related field with a strong foundation in software development. Your coursework, research projects, or open-source contributions demonstrate your excellent software development knowledge. You have proficiency in C++ and a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles. You are familiar with data structures and algorithms, and you have exposure to network programming, particularly TCP/IP, as well as concurrent programming with multi-threaded applications. Your experience with Linux or Unix systems enhances your ability to work in a technology-driven environment. You possess brilliant problem-solving abilities and a passion for exploring new technologies and ideas. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with your team and advocating for innovative solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of the Core Engineering group at Quantbox, where you will design, develop, and test proprietary software that includes low-latency high-throughput exchange connectivity layers. You will work on distributed computation optimized backtesting and simulation systems capable of handling terabytes of data, as well as risk systems for real-time trade management and risk analysis. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve identifying complex problems and coming up with innovative solutions, collaborating with other software developers, quantitative traders, and researchers to deliver high-quality software. You will be encouraged to communicate your ideas effectively and advocate for their implementation within the team.
