What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and operate systems that protect Reddit from various threats, including DDoS attacks and automated abuse. You will analyze and develop ingress-level defenses across CDN, edge, and internal infrastructure layers, ensuring the safety and performance of Reddit's services. You will build systems to detect, score, and mitigate malicious traffic in real time, focusing on per-request and per-user granularity.

You will partner closely with the Infrastructure and Security teams to implement effective security measures while maintaining optimal performance. Your contributions will directly impact Reddit's availability and trustworthiness, making this a high-impact role within the organization. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, guiding them in their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.
