What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Site Defense team, you will design, build, and operate systems that protect Reddit from various network-level threats. Your role will involve analyzing and developing ingress-level defenses that span across CDN, edge, and internal infrastructure layers. You will work closely with the Infrastructure and Security teams to implement solutions that balance security, performance, and user experience. Your contributions will directly impact the availability and trustworthiness of Reddit's platform.

You will be responsible for building systems that detect, score, and mitigate malicious traffic in real-time, ensuring that Reddit can handle millions of requests without compromising user experience.
