Desirable

Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. You may also have experience with various programming languages and frameworks that enhance developer productivity. A background in building internal developer tools or infrastructure would be beneficial, as would any experience in scaling systems to meet the demands of a large engineering organization.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools that streamline the developer experience at Reddit. You will work closely with engineering teams to understand their workflows and identify areas for improvement. Your responsibilities will include scaling Reddit's build infrastructure and enhancing the code review experience. You will also be involved in the development of self-hosted code storage solutions and other internal tools that support the engineering organization. You will lead initiatives to gather feedback from users and incorporate it into your designs, ensuring that the tools you create provide maximum value. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key, as you work to align developer needs with organizational goals. You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team.
