Who you are

You have extensive experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on building scalable platforms that empower users. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy tackling complex challenges that require innovative solutions. Your background includes working closely with product managers and UX designers to deliver high-impact features that enhance user experience.

You are comfortable with end-to-end ownership of projects, from ideation to delivery, and you understand the importance of cross-functional collaboration. You have a strong understanding of permissions systems and are passionate about creating secure and efficient solutions for advertisers. You are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment, recognizing the value of different perspectives in driving innovation.

What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Reddit, you will be at the forefront of enhancing the Ads Platform, focusing on building systems that manage identity, permissions, onboarding, and collaboration for businesses. You will work closely with the Business Manager team to innovate on permissions systems and develop solutions that drive adoption among advertisers. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that the systems you build are user-focused and meet the needs of both small-to-medium businesses and larger ad agencies.

You will take ownership of your projects, leading the technical direction and ensuring that the solutions you develop are robust and scalable. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and implementing new features, optimizing existing systems, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their roles.
