Overview

Relativity is hiring a Build Reliability Engineer II to enhance the quality and reliability of their rocket production processes. You'll work closely with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure quality is embedded from the start. This role requires a strong focus on problem-solving and collaboration.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in engineering, particularly in quality assurance and reliability, with experience in embedding quality into design and production processes. You understand the importance of influencing how products are built from the start, rather than just inspecting at the end. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with cross-functional teams.

You are passionate about aerospace and have a keen interest in the challenges of building rockets. Your technical rigor and creativity allow you to tackle complex problems that haven't been solved before. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can adapt to the fast-paced nature of the aerospace industry.

What you'll do

As a Build Reliability Engineer II at Relativity, you will be an integral part of the Quality team, focusing on ensuring that quality is embedded in every aspect of the design and production process for the Terran R vehicle. You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and testing teams to influence how products are built, ensuring that quality standards are met from the very beginning.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance processes that align with the company's goals for reliability and performance. This includes conducting thorough analyses of production processes and identifying areas for improvement. You will also work closely with engineers to provide feedback and guidance on design choices that impact reliability.

Your role will involve monitoring production metrics and implementing corrective actions when necessary to maintain high standards of quality. You will participate in design reviews and provide insights based on your expertise in reliability engineering. Additionally, you will help foster a culture of quality within the organization, encouraging team members to prioritize quality in their work.

What we offer

At Relativity, you will have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking technology in the aerospace industry. You will be part of a team that values creativity, autonomy, and ownership, allowing you to make a significant impact on the company's success. The work environment is collaborative and supportive, with a focus on professional growth and development. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
