Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of relevant design experience at a tech or product-focused company — you've honed your skills in both UX and visual design, with a strong emphasis on creating intuitive user experiences. You are experienced at talking to users and are willing to engage with them consistently to gather insights that inform your design decisions. You possess good judgment on when to ship designs, understanding that perfection is not the goal but rather delivering good UX is paramount. You are comfortable in an early-stage company environment, ready to adapt and contribute to a team that is still figuring things out.
You are an expert in either UX or visual design, ideally capable of excelling in both areas — your portfolio showcases your ability to create compelling designs that resonate with users. You are willing to create exploratory product ideas quickly, helping to think through product assumptions and challenges. You understand the importance of using design as a primary driver to help consumers navigate complicated processes, such as construction, and you are eager to tackle these challenges head-on.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for creating user-centered designs that simplify complex processes for consumers and roofing contractors alike. You will engage with users to gather feedback and insights, ensuring that your designs meet their needs effectively. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop exploratory product ideas that challenge existing assumptions and drive innovation.
You will leverage your expertise in UX and visual design to create prototypes and high-fidelity mockups that communicate your design vision clearly. Your ability to balance aesthetics with functionality will be crucial as you iterate on designs based on user feedback and team input. You will also play a key role in establishing design standards and best practices within the team, fostering a culture of design thinking.
What we offer
At Remi, you will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration and creativity. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your willingness to learn and adapt is just as important as your current skill set. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our product and help shape the future of our company as we grow. Join us in our mission to simplify complex processes through innovative design.
