Your background includes a bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent software development experience. You possess a deep familiarity with multiple aspects of modern web development, allowing you to navigate the intricacies of building robust applications. You take extreme accountability for your technical solutions, ensuring they align with product and business goals. Your experience includes fluency in SQL, enabling you to manage and manipulate data effectively. You are comfortable working with the T3 stack and the TanStack libraries, which are essential for the projects at Remi. Additionally, you have experience with public cloud infrastructure, such as Vercel and AWS, which is crucial for deploying scalable applications.

Desirable

While not required, familiarity with automated workflows and third-party integrations would be beneficial. Experience in the roofing industry or related fields could provide valuable context for your work. A passion for learning and growing in a niche market will help you thrive in this role.

What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Remi, you will build and maintain our core software products that support the world’s first three-sided roofing marketplace. Your responsibilities will include developing mobile-friendly portals for homeowners and subcontractors, as well as creating automated workflows to facilitate roofing construction processes. You will own the technical direction, architecture, and strategy for a section of the engineering team, ensuring that your contributions align with the company’s ambitious roadmap. You will collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver innovative solutions that enhance user experience and streamline operations. Your role will involve solving challenging technical problems that span across our proprietary roofing stack, investing in platform-wide changes to improve security, reliability, and performance. You will lead and collaborate with a team of highly intelligent teammates, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
