What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Rescale, you will own the end-to-end delivery of essential new functionality for our customers — your role will involve developing and maintaining services that handle over 250 requests per second. You will collaborate closely with your teammates to ensure that our systems are not only functional but also optimized for performance and reliability. Your contributions will directly impact how we transform engineering and scientific discovery through intelligent automation and applied AI.

You will engage in regular proactive work to assure systems performance and reliability — this includes monitoring system health, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements based on performance metrics. You will also be responsible for maintaining high-quality automation for our build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring that our infrastructure is robust and scalable.
