Who you are
You have extensive experience in fund accounting and a strong understanding of financial regulations — you've successfully managed accounting for investment funds and have a proven track record of ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards. Your leadership skills are exceptional, allowing you to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and drive financial accuracy across the organization.
You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working closely with colleagues in Corporate Accounting, Finance & Strategy, Tax, and Compliance — your ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly makes you a trusted advisor within the organization. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, enabling you to identify discrepancies and implement solutions swiftly.
What you'll do
As the Director of Fund Accounting, you will oversee the preparation and filing of financial statements for Robinhood Ventures — your role will be crucial in ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and timely. You will lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their careers. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
You will collaborate with various departments to ensure proper accounting treatment for all transactions related to the investment funds — this will involve regular communication with the VP, Corporate Controller, and other senior leaders to discuss financial performance and strategic initiatives.
