You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building and managing production systems that handle significant workloads. Your background includes a deep understanding of networking components and their transition from proof-of-concept to production-ready systems. You are familiar with Kubernetes and have experience working with microservices architectures, which are essential for scaling applications effectively.

You possess a strong foundation in machine learning concepts, enabling you to contribute to the development of high-performance compute clusters for ML inference and training. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that the infrastructure you build meets the needs of various stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take ownership of critical networking components, ensuring they are capable of handling massive machine learning throughput. You will work closely with the Kubernetes networking squad to support and operationalize the infrastructure that powers the next generation of AI on Roblox. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing networking solutions that enhance the performance and security of our services.

You will collaborate with other engineers to develop ingress gateways that route traffic efficiently from the edge to core data centers. This involves managing the service mesh and ensuring that all components are integrated seamlessly. You will also be responsible for monitoring the performance of these systems and making necessary adjustments to optimize their functionality.

Your role will require you to engage in problem-solving discussions with team members, providing insights based on your experience and expertise. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the team's development practices. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers.
