What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Roku, you will be part of the APPS team, responsible for developing critical services that power the Roku ecosystem. You will design and implement microservices that facilitate device and account setup, identity management, and channel distribution. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience for millions of TV streamers worldwide.

You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver high-quality features. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews to ensure best practices are followed. You will also participate in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring that our services remain reliable and performant.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools, advocating for best practices in software engineering.
