You are proficient in Python and have experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD), which allows you to create clear and effective test cases that align with user requirements. Your collaborative spirit enables you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, bridging the gap between software development and hardware integration.

You are familiar with modern CI/CD tools and practices, which you leverage to enhance the efficiency of the software development lifecycle. Your understanding of the TV streaming ecosystem and consumer electronics gives you a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in this space. You are detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify issues early in the development process and implement effective solutions.

Desirable

Experience with AI technologies is a plus, as it can enhance the automation processes you will be involved in. Familiarity with the European market and its specific requirements for TV products will also be beneficial in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer in the New Product Introduction team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end quality of Roku's TV products. Your primary focus will be on developing automated test suites using Python and BDD to ensure that our Linux-based firmware integrates seamlessly with manufacturer hardware. You will act as a technical bridge between our development teams and external manufacturing partners, ensuring that quality standards are met throughout the production process.

You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers to understand the specifications and requirements of the products, allowing you to create comprehensive test plans that cover all aspects of functionality and performance. Your role will involve scaling our quality efforts by leveraging modern CI/CD tools to drive efficiency across the global TV business. You will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement in our testing processes and implementing best practices to enhance overall product quality.
