Who you are
You have a strong background in payroll management, with experience in processing multi-state payroll for a sizable workforce. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in payroll calculations and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You are adept at collaborating with HR and Finance teams to enhance the onboarding and payroll experience for employees. Your communication skills allow you to effectively address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, fostering a supportive environment.
You are knowledgeable about payroll tax compliance and reporting, ensuring that all necessary withholdings and garnishments are handled correctly. Your experience includes managing payroll-related accounting tasks, such as journal entries and account reconciliations, contributing to a smooth month-end close process. You thrive in a collaborative culture and are committed to providing a first-class payroll experience for all employees.
What you'll do
As the Payroll Manager at Roofstock, you will manage the full-cycle processing of U.S. multi-state payroll for over 600 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll runs. You will support the accounting month-end close by preparing payroll and benefits journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and managing accruals. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal partners in HR and Finance to enhance the onboarding process and address any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
You will monitor the payroll inbox daily, responding to employee questions and providing guidance on payroll matters. Compliance is a key aspect of your responsibilities, as you will manage tax and benefits compliance and reporting, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Your expertise will help implement and maintain payroll systems that support the company's growth and operational efficiency.
