Rowan Digital Infrastructure is hiring an External Affairs Regional Manager to lead economic development and community relations for their data center projects in the DMV area. This role requires strong collaboration with project leadership and a focus on favorable government and community landscapes.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in external affairs, economic development, or community relations, ideally within the infrastructure or technology sectors. Your experience includes engaging with government entities and community stakeholders to foster positive relationships and support project initiatives. You possess strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex political landscapes, ensuring that community interests align with business objectives.

You are adept at tracking legislation and local policy changes that may impact operations, demonstrating a proactive approach to risk management. Your analytical skills allow you to assess the implications of policy changes and advocate effectively for the company's interests. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with project teams and subject matter experts to drive initiatives forward.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead external affairs efforts for Rowan's data center projects in the DMV area, focusing on economic development, government affairs, public policy, and community relations. You will act as the face of the company in communities where Rowan is making investments, ensuring that local stakeholders are informed and engaged. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining relationships with government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to create a favorable environment for Rowan's operations.

You will track and analyze legislation and local policies that may affect the company's projects, providing insights and recommendations to project leadership.
