Rowan Digital Infrastructure is hiring a Power Generation Controls Engineer to lead activities related to generator controls and microgrid systems. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure technical soundness and clarity in design.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in power generation and control systems. Your experience includes working with generator controls, microgrid control systems, and MV switchgear controls. You understand the importance of sustainability and efficiency in infrastructure projects, and you are committed to delivering high-performance solutions.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and OEMs. Your ability to resolve conflicts and maintain uniform controls standards across projects is a key strength. You are comfortable with travel, as this role requires approximately 25% travel for customer meetings and company gatherings.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and coordinate activities related to generator controls and microgrid control systems. You will be responsible for developing the Basis of Design (BoD) and controls functional specifications, ensuring that design packages are technically sound and aligned with multiple stakeholders. You will work closely with the Ownerβs Engineer and other teams to drive design clarity and ensure constructibility across projects.
You will also be involved in integrating controls with mission-critical data center environments, ensuring that all systems function seamlessly together. Your role will require you to maintain uniform controls standards and provide guidance to team members on best practices in control system design.
