You have more than seven years of hands-on experience in developing embedded firmware for power control applications β your expertise in power electronics and embedded systems has equipped you to tackle complex challenges in the electric vehicle sector. You possess a deep understanding of C and C++ programming languages, which you have utilized to create efficient and reliable firmware solutions. Your experience with Embedded Linux allows you to optimize performance and ensure the robustness of the systems you develop.
You are passionate about electric mobility and understand the critical role that firmware plays in the functionality of power electronics. Your background in power electronics control systems has given you insights into the intricacies of hardware-software integration, enabling you to design solutions that meet stringent performance and safety standards. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve product offerings.
Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest advancements in power electronics and embedded systems. You believe in the importance of mentorship and enjoy sharing your knowledge with junior engineers to help them grow in their careers.
Desirable
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) would be a plus, as would familiarity with hardware design tools such as Altium Designer. A background in electric vehicle technology or charging infrastructure would further enhance your fit for this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining embedded firmware for power control applications within ChargePoint's EV charging solutions. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with hardware components, focusing on optimizing performance and reliability. Your work will involve designing control algorithms that enhance the efficiency of power electronics systems, contributing to the overall effectiveness of ChargePoint's charging solutions.
You will also be tasked with troubleshooting and debugging firmware issues, utilizing your analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
