You have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in environments that support data center operations. Your expertise allows you to develop and validate mechanical standards, ensuring that designs meet operational requirements. You are comfortable influencing critical decisions through your technical knowledge rather than formal management roles. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams is essential, as you will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure system reliability and efficiency.

You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement within mechanical systems and have a strong understanding of lifecycle planning. Your experience includes working on projects that require a focus on sustainability and efficiency, aligning with the company's commitment to building a more sustainable future. You are adaptable and willing to travel up to 30% for project site visits and company gatherings, demonstrating your commitment to the role and the organization.

Desirable

Experience with data center operations or similar high-performance infrastructure projects would be beneficial. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering will set you apart. You may also have experience in developing technical standards and providing engineering support during design and commissioning phases.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for providing lifecycle mechanical expertise to support data center operations. You will develop and validate mechanical standards, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary operational requirements. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to influence critical decisions regarding mechanical systems, focusing on reliability and efficiency.

You will participate in the design and commissioning of mechanical systems, providing technical support throughout the process. Your expertise will be crucial during change events, where you will assess the impact of modifications on system reliability.
