Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of property claims experience, demonstrating your ability to handle moderate severity losses independently. Your estimating skills are well-honed, allowing you to prepare and review estimates with confidence. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to distill complex information for customers and negotiate effectively across multiple parties. Your strong organizational abilities help you manage various tasks efficiently, and your empathetic interpersonal skills ensure you connect with clients during challenging times. You hold an adjuster license in your home state or possess a non-resident license if required, meeting the necessary licensing requirements for additional states as needed.
What you'll do
In this desk-based adjusting position, you will investigate and document property claims, which includes reviewing policies, recording statements, assigning inspections, and updating reserves. You will prepare or review estimates and negotiate settlements while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and internal processes. As a resource for less experienced staff, you will provide guidance and support as needed. Additionally, you may be called upon to support catastrophe response efforts, which could involve potential overtime and deployment. Your role is crucial in driving the company's purpose and fulfilling its values, contributing to a culture that values critical thinking and problem-solving.
